Our mouths become a graveyard whenever the truth drips from our tongues,
Human rights then become human wrongs,
Why should we sing freedom song?
When the definition of independence is definitely dumb...

This is the tale of our country,
A place where living is dying, the oblivious cemetery,
The palace of wise men endowed with the wisdom of a fool,
Of broken rulers who find it very difficult to rule,
They leave pressing issues to hold press conferences for frivolity,
What is more brutal than leaving your own people in brutality?

Yet, an "unknown" wind has had our minds blown,
Sweeping our feet off the street, our tongues roam,
How do you slam the door on the poor
And bridge the rich's reach?
When you cannot impeach the pitch higher than tweets.

Who dey tweet?
The birds that chirp, the mass' groans on repeat,
Twisting and raising unclean arms for the world to see.
Some threats perceived! and our freedom became unfree!
This is civilization unwinding-
The lies have eyes and the truth is blinding.

What a democratic tyranny! To be candid,
Crypto banned! Twitter banned! But you couldn't ban_dits,
You couldn't take away what takes us away —
Why take our relevance?
But the goal is to keep our balls in the net of dominance.

Never say die! We're die hard civilians,
VPN — very patriotic Nigerians,
You can take away our freedom but you can't take our voices away,
Our hands we raise in solidarity till freedom finds a way...
