Maybe we should also ban people selling spare parts in the north on safety issues.

How about the people selling drugs, lets ban them on safety issue.

You want a special rule for yourself, while others should not benefit from it.

You can travel as you like for business, but others can not and we live in the same Nigeria.

You are free to ban anything you want. You have already done that with Alcohol and pork. Please note nobody has banned beef in the North. it's funny how you guys seem to be unable to differentiate product from process. All we saying is don't do open grazing. Other livestock products from the North like Rams are brought down in trailers and sold in the markets, why can't do you do the same with your cows? Why can't you respect the choices your fellow citizens have made, after they have seen their relatives and friends murdered and raped.? The honest truth is we can debate on here ad infinitum. The southern people have made their choice and their governors have stated that choice loud and clear. Anyone who tries to overrule that choice will have the entire south to answer to. Please believe me when I tell you people are ready to go to any length on this. The North has over 70% of the land in Nigeria, you all come online to gloat about how Niger state is bigger than the whole SE. Fine, that means you have ample landmass for open grazing. I don't see why you also need to graze in the remaining under 30% of the land.

The government of Nigeria brought a good idea of creating a cow route for herders, you people are busy crying foul.

The constitution of Nigeria, guarantee freedom of movement and trade, anyone can travel anywhere to live and trade.

If a igbo, yoruba businessman can go to the north to carry out his business, nothing stops a fulani man from carrying out his business in the south.

Stopping fulani people from moving and trading their cows from one part of Nigeria to another is an attack on their fundamental human right, if you can travel and do business anywhere in Nigeria, the fulani man should be also be able to do business anywhere.

You are all shouting fundamental human right when the government banned Twitter but you go about banning others from their own fundamental human right, that is hypocrisy.

Note: Fulani pay tax and rent, every cows transported to the south pay tax, from local governments tax to land rent and also tax per each cows.

The president said that if a cattle rearer put his cow on a farm land, he will be reliable for the loss.
You are a liar. The nomadic fulani herdsmen do not pay for any land and neither do they pay tax.

The southern Governors banned open grazing cattle business or cattle movement.

The fulanis are still free to transport their cows by vehicles to their ranches in other to carry out their legitimate business

Tell us when and where any southerner forcefully occupy any land in the north without paying?

Can northerners allow southerners destroy their onions, tomatoes, rice etc farmlands and keep quiet all in the name of freedom of movement?

Like Malami like the OP.

Banning of beer is state law because of religion and our constitution states that Nigeria is a secular country. If truly they respect the constitution, why banning of beer because of a particular religion?

On the other hand, the southern governors didn't ban sale of cows rather they ban open grazing because of its security risk.

Illiteracy has ravaged and reduced the reasoningof these clan below that of animals. Since when did human right turn to cow right? Unfortunately, you're unable to understand between citizens right to movement to trespass, can I walk through your room because of my right to movement?

How can you move through people's farm without any form of agreement, why not go and occupy people's homes as your right, fulls.

So alcohol is your point of argument. Some part of the north practice sharia and selling and buying alcohol is prohibited because of religious reasons, i am sure many southerners are doing other legitimate businesses freely, they are enjoying their rights of being Nigerians.

How come the fulanis can not enjoy their own right of being Nigerians.

Religious reasons? Killing for one blood thirsty Islamabad god.

1. There is nothing like grazing routes for cows. We herd goats, pigs and rear chickens here and didn't ask FG for preferential treatments. Why must Fulani be given people's lands to graze cos they herd cows? Is cows better than pork?

2. Constitution of Nigeria guarantee freedom of movement for HUMANS not cows or any other animals.... Except you are equating cows to humans and giving them those rights, and if you do, then maybe you should check your brain for some glitches. Meanwhile pigs are prohibited in core Sharia states and we southerners living there are not complaining and we are even yet to ban your cows. We only banned open grazing for security reason. No one is against ranching your cows but you won't just do it cos u think you deserve the lands for free.

3. Igbo and Yoruba go to north to do business permissible by your religious laws despite being against the federal Constitutions. The constitution biding us together says we are a seculiar country but you still went ahead to make your own laws against Christians occupants. For example we can't sell alcoholic drinks and pork meats. So, we don't have freedom of business as you deceifully wanted to paint. You decide what you want to ban but still want to decide what we can't ban, is that not blatant hypocrisy?

4. No one is stopping Fulani ethnic stock from moving from north to south. All we are saying are simple:
a. Buy lands to do your business
b. Freedom of movement doesn't translate to freedom to trespass. Else thieves won't be committing offence by raiding homes.

5. Equating freedom of speech with trespass is so insane I can't just put a word on it and I don't want to call you names. There is no where in the constitution that freedom of movement was given to animals or freedom of movement was given to trespass on others people properties and investments.

6. And ur PS is pure BS, Fulani doesn't pay taxes or rents. They just enter forests and set up camps without buying those lands or take permission from the local authorities.

Overall
I think you guys are confused, most of the aggression coming from Fulani herdsmen stems from the fact that you think federal govt owns the lands and can give it to whoever it's likes. Biggest mistakes. The land use acts of 1979 puts the state govt in charge of the lands and federal govt have no rights whatsoever to dictate whatever the locals decided to do with it. That is why some of your educated fellows wanted to pass backstage to input ruga and water resources bills to short-change us. But in education, thinking and civility, the south are miles ahead of you guys so we casted devilish idea.

PS: And lastly, Buhari govt is not helping the Fulani, but u all think he does. What he is doing is turning the other ethnic nationalities against them and if not controlled Rwanda might just be a child play in few years to come.

Best legacy Buhari can give you Fulani is buying/renting ranches for you guys in the North. Ofcourse not with govt funds. He can only subsidize materials to help set you up else he will be held to do same for poultry farmers and pigries.
