The Yoruba socio-political organization, Afenifere, on Wednesday, called on the President Muhammadu Buhari-led Federal Government to jettison the idea of reopening grazing routes in Nigeria.

Afenifere’s National Publicity Secretary, Jare Ajayi, said the move should be jettisoned because there is no law backing such.

Buhari had thrown his weight behind open grazing in Nigeria.

Gov Akeredolu kicks against Buhari’s move for open grazing

In an interview with Arise Television, the president had expressed the hope of reopening grazing routes across the country.

The president had said he would direct the Attorney General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami to dig up the gazette of the First Republic which backed grazing routes.

But, the Chairman, Senate Committee on Media and Public Affairs, Senator Ajibola Basiru had insisted that there was no such law.

However, Ajayi said Basiru’s remark was in tandem with the stance of Afenifere which friend against grazing routes in Nigeria.

Ajayi, in a statement said: “It is quite gladdening that a lawmaker, a Senator will tell us what the position of the law is. For him to say that there is no such law is quite gladdening but our position in Afenifere is that if there were such a law, we will want to know when it was promulgated and to what extent it should cover.

“In any case, such a law will be obsolete and it will not be binding. For the senator to tell us that there is no such law, it is in tandem with our position.

“The Federal Government should forget the idea about reopening any grazing route.”

The only thing I like Buhari is the way he makes BMC members to develop phobia anything he wants to talk

Imagine telling BMC members that Buhari will grant interview tomorrow, that means you don't want that person to sleep

Baba Buhari, please, do not allow BMC members to enjoy this 30k you are paying them without your blunders

A president you cannot completely edit out all his blunders from a small clip MUST be super dumb.

2015 - 2021 - Cows

2022 - 2023 - Cows in view

The most hollow set of BMC in Nigeria is NL chapter

Those guys are dumber than the dumps their dumber slave master vomit

RIP Mr Odumakin.

Your death was truly a great loss, otherwise you would have dissected that presidential interview and responded to every detail.

Imagine the docile fulani govt talking about grazing routes. In 2021, cow is the major problem they have...when their kinsmen are slaughtering pple everywer. They turned a blind eye to that but if any southerner burns military barracks the way iswap does daily, them go pack all the soldiers and police come.

Yet it's southern resources keeping them in power...who is d monkey and who is the baboon.

Abeg not anymore. They should restrict that their cow thing and that religion that told them to terrorize nd slaughter all infidels to their North. The country must divide. It's a must.

When Igbos where shouting about the Agendas of this present Administration and calling for a restructuring or breakup, My brothers from the West were laughing, my kinsmen from the South were collection 13% derivatives from what even belongs to them and keeping quiet. Now! Casala don burst! Everybody eyes don clear to see the handwriting written boldly on the wall! Buhari will only try to shake everyone to bow to his demands which is Islamization and fulanization but he will never succeed. I hope the rest 3 region learnt a hard lesson never to trust a Fulani or Hausa man ever again in this country and any son of the soil who have sold his soul to the North and plan on deceiving his own people again in any of the 3 region will be killed and his family wiped out to pass a strong message to others.

Honestly I really don’t understand what making Buhari thinks he owns the entire Country! Like it’s a family business or a kingdom. Nigeria is a sovereign country government by a constitution. He is elected as a president and can be impeached before 2023. Even if he likes let him seize INEC, CJN and put both inside his pocket or set the whole country ablaze like he is currently doing! Open grazing in 2021! Foolish old maggot!

And as for the Zombies still following this Aboki walking corpse of a president. He go tire una very soon! Especially that vulture griller! See them below. BMC crew with empty brains..

FG are only doing initial gra gra.

Even though we are aware there are federal lands across the states, In Southern Nigeria, we have banned any open grazing, if FG want to donate their own federal land for herdsmen, it means the pigs, fish, Snail farmers must also be given the same opportunity all under ranching program..

The opinion of President Buhari on this matter stands the law and all that is common sense on its head!
1. Cattle rearing is private business for profit. Common sense dictates that it should be privately funded. That is what the law envisages. Acquire land for a ranch and buy feed for the cattle. Folks who sell pepper and those who run car marts fund their businesses.
2. He is on a mission to perpetrate illegality. That will not happen!

Imagine a country still deliberating grazing issue in 21st century, what a failed state, Buhari is the worst thing that happened to this country.

Dumbo, the herdsman crisis is a West Africa wide issue, caused by the intensifying desertification of the Sahara caused by climate change, forcing herders to migrate ever further southwards to graze their cattle.

In Nigeria, it is also exacerbated by the movement of SOUTHERN Nigerians NORTHWARDS in search of business opportunities/trade etc, meaning LESS land available for grazing there.

So YOU, southerner, are partly to blame for the land crisis in the north leading to herdsmen migrating southwards.

Tell your millions of Igbo brothers up north to return home to their Dot.com republic and free up the land up north for grazing!

Those of you that didn't have blind eyes, what did you do about it?

Even right now, what are you doing except to wait to criticize what Yoruba's say every time they speak / act?

You too can take steps by getting facts to counter dumb assertions and fighting it when the vagabonds in power want to use force.... Not whine and whine over everything

You say, so you think their eyes are now open? Fulani understands them. I'm sure Alimi must have taught his people the trick he used on Afonja by promising him power. These ones already hooked them with 2023 presidency. 2015, they fooled them with "Vote Buhari, think Osibanjo". This time, they're being fooled with "Think Tinubu, think Osibanjo". Until they find themselves all in Republique Ia Benin, those eyes no get opening.
