I respect u for the saying this, we r the probs of ourselves in this country, things we do at times is bad than what those Govt r doing to us
Monogamy:
Most of the drainages have been blocked by refuse hence the water will always stay around after raining.

Before blaming the local government chairman, blame the people that are disposing their waste into the gutter..

Na to use boat... grin

Bro.... it is the responsibility of the local government to reduce or prevent flooding. If people are throwing garbage in the drains ... removing bricks from the road etc.... what has the government done to serve as a deterrent? People will do so worldwide if the government does not find means to hold them accountable. As an example... New York City.... do you really believe the residents are really more disciplined and responsible than those of Lagos? .. and ask yourself why should a life long gutter filling Lagos resident will behave responsibly as soon as he migrates. Bro... it is because of the government.... it makes citizens accountable for their actions. E.g ... garbage cans are at almost every street corner.... for residents on the go to dispose of their soda cans... water bottles... banana skins.. food containers... etc..... not for household garbage... do so and be caught by the inspectors... you will be fined. Covered drainage system... but should you be caught pouring like waste oil down the storm drain... sorry will he your name. The point..... it is the responsibility of the government to ensure the systems are maintained and work accordingly and to find ways to deter residents from interfering with its smooth operation.
