Popular music producer, K-Solo has said that gospel artistes in Nigeria don’t practice what they preach.

Over the week, a video surfaced online where revered gospel singer, Tope Alabi had criticized the popular Christian song, ‘Oniduro Mi’, which was sung by iconic singers, Tolu Adelegan and Yinka Alaseyori, at different times. Alabi has been criticized on social media over comment.

Another gospel artiste, Lanre Teriba in a viral video had also condemned Alabi

In a chat with TheNewsGuru, K-Solo said: “Gospel artistes in Nigeria do not practice what they preach. They don’t practice what the gospel is all about. They are all hypocrites. From the foundation of gospel music that I have done a follow up on, it has always been like this. As much as there is so much hate in the secular world, the hypocrisy in the gospel music industry is worse and dangerous. What makes it dangerous is that we all see ourselves as Christians, but what we say behind is worse than what you can think of. For someone like Lanre Teriba to have jumped on that matter when it was very hot, it’s the height of hypocrisy. Truth is nobody that is a Muslim is actually condemning her. The people condemning are her gospel artistes and Christians in general.A lot of them don’t understand that this is not a war against Tope Alabi, it’s a war against Christendom”.

He is absolutely right, most of them go into gospel music to form holy holy......Even the so-called men of God ain't left out. They beef themselves outa jealousy.

Singing about God doesn't make anybody a saint. There is no difference between Johnny Drille who sings about loving a girl and Lanre Teriba who sings about loving God. After all, whether it is secular music or gospel music, it's basically a HUSTLE targeted at niche markets in order to make money to put food on table and pay bills.

Yes, gospel artistes try to avoid scandalous behavior publicly but a lot happens in closets, which God alone sees. It is the truthful and spiritual relationship with God that matters.
