Go try Lycomicine tablet, paracetamol and diquadine. Take the Lycomicine 3x daily (1-1-1), paracetamol (2-2-2) and lick the diquadine often... If no changes after 3days quote me and I'll tell you what to do next

Kindly visit a public hospital
You would then see an ENT specialist that will prescribe the right medications.
You may be booked for tonsillectomy that is surgical removal of the inflamed tonsils if the infection reoccurs.

I'm also dealing with something like this but mine is a persistent bitter taste in my mouth. I have also done a month swap and visited a pharmacist. I was placed on injection and some drugs but I don't think it's working.
