Do you understand the purpose of LinkedIn? For networking, jobs, business development and relationships, humanitarian causes, training etc BUT not posting pictures of your engagement, wedding, parties, family life etc except they are related to helping others or to teach life lessons.

Its unprofessional, soon they will start gossips and abuse the place. I'm not sure LinkedIn celebrates birthdays either.

Your ability to clearly define your professional goals and also to clearly understand basic requirements are very important skills.
Your professional profile and activities on LinkedIn would say something about you in terms of adding value to an organization. Outside of your direct real-life network, most people out there don't know you, but they care if your profile shows that you offer needed skills or services. Are your engagement pictures relevant in terms of your goals on LinkedIn, as a professional networking site?

My opinion on LinkedIn is that it is a platform used to also share our life stories and not just for professional post alone.

Nigerians have spoilt LinkedIn. Even the so called professionals both public and private office holders be posting irrelevant stuffs.. especially the females. There's one Nigerian ambassador to a European country on my feed she posts family achievements and even posts when she's having coffee or tea with people of power and then writes some inspirational bs alongside the post. Its gradually becoming IG/ FB

For me i think its normal sharing your personal story on linkedin as it might inspire others.
