I have been meeting a lot of car dealers recently, mostly those selling registered cars, and I feel bothered about something.

I found out they claim to own the cars they sell, but when I ask if the car is registered in their names, they say NO. Can you legally own car that is not registered in your name?

How do I go about this issue, to avoid paying someone for a car that belongs to another person?
