Sorry bro na typo, I meant to type 1k to 1050 cfa,

Am in Porto-novo, agata area..but the thing is there no really big difference between the areas for the rich and poor , all the social amenities are the same, what determines the house rent is the standard of the house you're renting not the area

From the little i know, house rent is not that expensive. People pay 3 bedroom flat from 30k upwards to probably 50,000 cfa. Plus water and light bills. And their rooms are usually very big.

I have been to Benin more than 5 times in the last 1 year. Things are a little costly there compared to Nigeria. But the country is generally peaceful.
Food there is cost, rents are paid monthly, life there is on a slow mo, everyone follows the rule.
Cost for flat in Benin ranges from 25,000 to 60,000 per month, it depends on the location and number of bedrooms. Cotonou is where everything happens while port Novo is the capital city.

Right now 1000 Naira is between 985cfa and 1,000 cfa based on exchange rate 2 months ago.
Re: Nigerians In Benin Republic by leksdigital: 10:02pm On Apr 04, 2022
1000 naira is between 985 to 1000cfa (let's stick with 1,000cfa)

100 Naira is 100 cfa
10 Naira is 10cfa
1 Naira is 1cfa

That is equivalent to 80,000 naira in Nigerian currency. If he doesn't have something better doing in Nigeria he can go.

Rent should take between 15,000 to 25,000, transportation isn't cheap in Benin so in the end he will just be ok without much savings. This would have been a good salary for someone in Benin
