These are parts of the problem with the Judiciary and the country. Why should a Sharia Judge be appointed to the Appeal Court and subsequently elevated to the Supreme Court? Sharia is a religious law and Nigeria is a multi-religious country!

If only you will be sincere to yourself, can u publicly talk about the nepotism in your state where u came from? Is appointment evenly made? Since democracy how many Local Government has produced the Governor, Deputy Governor, Chief justice of the state, and other key positions. Be very sincere to yourself in answering this question. Remember I am not in anyway supporting the nepotism going on at federal level which in all fairness is fueling division among us.

Our Constitution categorises into English, Customary & Sharia Laws.

Since Sharia is a constitutional provision, it is important that someone who understands the dictates of the law is within the Judiciary to understand.

Same goes for the Customary Law which is mostly adorned in the South Eastern part of the Country.

One of the provisions of the Constitutional amendment is for a Christian Court. If that is passed, we will also have same for Judges who most probably studied CRS in schools.

My opinion........Religion is a Problem to us. A big one.
How has it benefitted our polity, our leadership, our governance....No Way.
