Still brainstorming it.
That missing number in the first example is causing issues

Exactly, 6-10 is the problem, for the others I believe OP can figure them out. I have been looking at 6-10 for the past one hour undecided

I think whoever solves 6-10 with explanations deserves something. I'll get his/her phone/data recharged.

Done..
I have gotten it..
Pasting the workings using the two examples

For example 2..
5^2 = 5 x 5= 25
4^2 = 4 x 4 = 16
25 + 16 = 41.
20 + 21 = 41

For example 3
4^2 = 4 x 4 = 16
4^2 = 4 x 4 = 16
16 + 16 = 32
4 + 28 = 32

Just square the two numbers at the side and add their squares.
The same should be equal to the addition of the two numbers up and down.

So the answers are
6. 64 (B)
7. 3 (D)
8. 100 (E)
9. 6 (A)
10. - 50

The answer to number 10 should be -50 and not 50.
That's the only exception.
The workings worked for all other questions.

Re: Mathematics people are clever thinkers by Emilokoiyawon: 9:34pm On Jun 28, 2021
The questions with the triangles work like this: you square the number in the bottom left and add it to the square of the number in the bottom right. Then the sum will be equal to the top center plus the bottom center.

Example 1: (3^2) + (?^2) = 6 + 7 = 13. Which means ? = 2.

Example 2: (5^2) + (4^2) = 25 + 16 = 41 = 20 + 21

Example 3: (4^2) + (4^2) = 16 + 16 = 32 = 4 + 28

Therefore Question 6: (2^2) + (8^2) = 4 + 64 = 68. Means the missing number is 64

I can figure out the rest for you. But try to see the logic yourself

The school authorities ain't helping. They give them these assignments to take home in knowledge that there's no way in hell, these pupils can do it on their own sad
They know what they are doing.

Very wrong. It is homework and not FAMILY WORK.

The essence is not parental participation but to keep the child busy during the remaining hours of the day after school.

You're already encouraging your sister to be lazy. Why don't you figure it out yourself, and show her how to solve it, instead of looking for who to dish out the answers to her.

When she grows up and goes for interviews, she will be asked if she is a team player.
It takes a team to solve problems and deliver solution.

This is primary school stuff nah. How can you start doing "Igwebuike" in Primary school? It's wrong.

Allow the child to task her brain. It's also okay to allow her to fail some. It will help her understand better with time.

I rest my case
