Olowu Kuta Commends Egbèje Èdè Invention Initiative.

This is a reflection of present times in the history of our nation.
A time when the future is beclouded by uncertainty born out decayed societal system as a result of prolonged neglect of our cultural values as a nation.

According to some schools of thought; that, for our land to be great again the society need a "RE-BIRTH" of systemic structure built on genuine cultural values of, love, honest and selflessness.
All of which begins by going back to the basis of prioritizing our language and culture over that of western lands.

This premise of going back to basis to prioritize our language and culture, gave birth to the invention of "EGBEJE EDE" by a Yoruba Socio-Cultural promotion group known as the "Elegbeje Ede".

EGBEJE EDE is a new Yoruba language Educational board game, created to promote and enhance the learning of Yoruba language through, indoor and outdoor recreation.

EGBEJE EDE is an invention endorsed by notable Yoruba leaders and also the Nigerian Federal Government through the department of Patent and Trademark ministry of Trade and investment Abuja.

Apart from Promoting Yoruba language and culture, EGBEJE EDE board game has Socio-Economic benefits that could serve as catalyst to South West state Governments to create jobs and empower the youth, through; Manufacturing, Sport, and Reality entertainment shows.

In the course of Egbeje Ede tour to Yoruba traditional rulers, the group made a visit to the Olowu of Owu Kuta, Oba Adekunle Oyelude Makama, Tegbosun III. The Olowu Kuta in his remarks applauded the Egbeje Ede invention and gave his blessings. He said it would be good if Egbeje Ede could be adopted into school curriculum across south west as a teaching aid for Yoruba language at primary and secondary schools. He also commended Egbeje Ede job creation and youth empowerment prospect, through manufacturing, sport and entertainment.

In his closing remarks he implored all Yoruba descendant to join hands together to promote Yoruba language and culture anywhere they find themselves either in Nigeria or Abroad so as to protect Yoruba language and culture from going into extinction.
