Who are the media that made the request? Hisba media? grin grin grin
This show ur ignorance of Hausa influence in world media. When OBJ was President he in numerous occasions offer Hausa interview after press conference. Many govt officials give special interview in Hausa after press conference. It's been a norm for many foreign media houses interviewing Nigeria leaders in Hausa from Tafawa Balewa to PMB except GEJ, who was the only Nigerian President who doesn't understand or speak Hausa.
Many notable Politicians in Nigeria from all tribes speak Hausa and they're often asked to give their interview in Hausa, many times when Nigerian Politicians go to London, Germany, France or US; BBC Hausa, Deutsche Well Hausa, IRF Hausa or VOA Hausa respectively invite them for Hausa interviews or chat pertaining their visit especially official visits. They do so because they want their voice in Hausa instead of interpreting the interview to Hausa.

If true, this explanation makes sense but for press conferences it would make more sense to also have Igbo and Yoruba speakers as well

I think they should make NNAMDI KANU arrest a public holiday in the north.
The celebration and joy in that part of the country since Tuesday tells volume.

Malami is like Buhari. He hardly hide his ethnic bigotry.

This country's news is always funny
So what happened to our "lingua franca" which is English or pidgin to say the least.
Just looking for ways to fracture an already dis united country SMH

English language is the lingua franca of people from middle belt down to the South and French is the second language. While in the north hausa has been their first language even before English language so what that entails us we have 2 countries existing in one with two different cultures and laws existing mutually exclusive

Why on earth will you use Hausa to communicate in a press conference....in a federating nation.....

You can use English why the media crew subtitled it in different languages they want to....

There are enough clear signs on the wall for us to see that Fulani people are driving this nation to the point of no return
