The provision in the Petroleum Industry Bill (PIB) of 30% profits to be spent on exploration in the frontier north basins is legalized robbery and has been condemned by leader of the Pan-Niger Delta Forum (PANDEF), Chief Edwin Clark and the South Governors forum.

When will the looting of resources of the Niger Delta people stop under the guise of exploring for non existent oil in the northern basins. How Monkey de work and Baboon de chop
?

They now want to pass this into law before the next election, knowing even if power goes to the South in 2023 the repeal of the 30% provision will be rejected by the majority Northern lawmakers in the National Assembly when the new President assumes power.

I still wonder how the northerners will be controlling what is obtained in the south. Are southerners that foolish?

Legalized robbery against some lazy, drunkard slowpokes. Igbos and Mazi Nnamdi Kanu are their problems instead of seeing and dealing with those that pose problems to them.

Yes, they are foolish because of their collective hatred of Igbos which has been costing them a lot.

Well, OP, even though it is completely wrong, you should understand that most people, especially the elites, of the Niger Delta, where the bulk of the oil revenue comes from don't really care.

What most of them care about are pipeline contracts, once in a while settlement, their own percentage derivation and of course, attacking the Igbos to make them feel better.
Even Clark that is whining up and down, call him aside and offer him a juicy oil contract while whispering in his ears that Igbos are the problem of the whole world and watch start singing a different tune immediately.

I completely agree with you the Niger Delta leaders don't care and can even show you Edwin Clarke house in Warri. They have nothing to show for allocations to NDDC,Ministry of Niger Delta and 13% derivation.

However, that is still no excuse for the Northerners to rob them blind through 30% levy under the guise of exploration of northern basins that is yet to produce even 10 barrels of commercial oil.

It is better their leaders eat the money and crumbs fall to the people.

MC Oluomo dey learn work for where Niger Delta boys dey. Don't play with those Niger Delta boys, they are only quiet because of the pipeline security contracts that has been given to them. If they decide to go back to the creeks it don be for Nigeria.

This 30% provision in the PIB for "oil prospecting for non-existent commercial oil in the northern basin" is enough to provoke them.

If oil was in the North, they will never tolerate 30% exploration of frontier basis in the South. To even get them to agree to 1% will be an uphill battle.

This bill if passed will cause unrest in the Niger Delta that will be far worse that IPOB agitation. The only thing keeping peace in Niger Delta is pipeline security contracts for sellouts like Asari Dokubo and Tompolo.
