Ogun State has one of the worst roads in the country.

I stay in Sango Ota and I can say with all sense of modesty that there is no government in that backwater State.

You see, sometimes, it isn't about having a huge IGR...it's about what the leaders do with the revenue. The last time I checked, Ogun has a huge IGR but its roads are deplorable, to say the least.

If you appeal to them to do the work they campaigned heavily for, what is now their job? To steal, kill and to destroy?

Dapo Abiodun is useless....I have always said it.....Look atthe roads in Ijebu Ode. Pathetic. I wonder what he is using the money the state makes....The point is once you get in bed with Tinubu..you are finished. Abiodun should be made to account for where the monies is all going....Governor without certificate.

Very much needed.
But then, I doubt if Gov. Abiodun will be
do anything. The immediate past Governor, Amosun (now representing the area, Ogun Central at the Senate) has a stronghold in the area. Although they are in the same party, they are in different faction. Abiodun sees the area as his opponent area. That's why he hasn't done any visible project there after two years. To make it worse, Amosun had a gubernatorial candidate in 2019 who almost denied Abiodun his mandate. He (Abiodun) only focuses on Ijebu, Abeokuta, Egba, Sagamu.

They residents have, however, resorted to self help.

These issues can best be described as political rascality and democratic banditry!

For my money, he's easily one of the accidents of history at the state level. I've plied the Atan Road a couple of times, and I can recall the harrowing experience. Why are political leaders so irresponsible, self-seeking and self-serving? Some months back, he gathered the big players in politics for political showboating, that the reconstruction of the road would begin and all and all. Yet, we're yet to see any serious work on the road. Other roads too are a see-saw between quasi valleys and filth-ridden getaways. Despite the cluster of industries in Agbara and other places in Ogun State, there's a telling road infrastructure deficit. Is he living to his despicable alias of (Daru Dapo)
