The unity among Northerners has nothing to do with tribalism or ethnicity. In fact the North is more diverse ethnically than the South. About 80-85% of Nigeria's tribes are located in the North. Taraba state alone have about 50 different tribes of the 500 and something tribes located in Nigeria.
