Fake news.

There's no rank in the Army with "Lieutenant Commander".

Both men were dismissed by the Nigeria military....Not Nigeria Army.

Lieutenant commander is a rank in the navy.

Theft is a Major offence in the military and Dismissal is always an option as far as sanctions in that regard. However the story can't be true because these ranks are too large, too powerful and too comfortable and too disciplined to tamper with minute items like 250k and even the latest Iphone.

But Madume is neither Hausa nor Fulani. It's a typical Igbo name.

Why is a Major in the Army earning more than a Lt. Commander in the Navy? Are both ranks not equivalent?
