What was Nnamdi Kanu doing in Kenya? He was well aware Nigeria and Kenya has diplomatic relationship. NIGERIA, a country that has the highest funding of ECOWAS, the members of such body will always work towards the efforts of each government. Also considering Kenya dealing with it's own problems, the Al-shabab terrorists, Kenya wouldn't want an external influence (who has been declared a leader of a terrorist group by his own country) to add to their problems. In an hypothetical situation, if an Al-qeeda fighter or leader is found in Nigeria today, the United States would arrest such individual and extradite him ( NIGERIA will deny having any knowledge of it initially even though they are well aware of the arrest). 7 Likes 4 Shares |

Kanu/IPOB overrated themselves. They said federal government will be forced to release Nnamidi kanu. I have been waiting for British army to launch attack against Nigeria because kanu but unfortunately they have not even criticise kanu arrest. Echowas: I dont think its a matter of what he was doing in Kenya, its more of a matter of if due process was followed In 2018, 12 Ambazonian seperatist were arrested in Nigeria. While they were in detention, they contacted well known Lawyer, Femi Falana, to get them out. While Femi Falana was on their case, the federal government suddenly sent all of them to Cameroon with no extradition hearing. One of the men was married to a Nigerian woman and had children with her in Nigeria Falana took the Federal government to court for unlawful extradition and won. The courts declared that the arrest, detention and subsequent extradition were illegal and awarded the men compensation.
