Pineapple and coconut are some of the most popular tropical fruits which are eaten in almost every part of the world. Both are also popular in Nigeria, especially on many streets where Hausa vendors display their wares, which always include watermelon, pineapple, cucumber and coconut. Coconut water is home to important electrolytes such as potassium, magnesium, calcium, sodium, iron and phosphorus.
