Your myopic and shortsighted tendencies must not be taken as facts.

The issue of Nnamdi Kanu is beyond your illogical standpoint and as such...trying to justify the foolishness of this useless government ..exposes your thinking tangent.

Questions have been asked in relation to your submission by other Nairalanders....ANSWER THEM...so that people can understand the validity of your obviously myopic points..

I dey wait!

Do you think that "coomon sense" is common??

anyway Thanks for your submission...

MYND44.....come around and do justice to this post, as the interpreter of Nigerian Law on Nairaland... angry angry angry angry

Philadelphia:

You forgot to mention that this Kanu guy is not a Nigerian National. So what National Security are you talking about? Can you apply an American law on a Ghanaian citizen that was abducted in Croatia when his country didn’t give you any court order to extradite or arrest or try that person?
Even before the US went for Hushpuppi, they had diplomatic approval from Nigeria (his country of citizenship) and UAE (where he resided) and the 3 countries had a joint operation where the major ops was led by the US but Nigeria and UAE gave intel.

Did Britain give intel to Nigeria or support the abduction of Kanu by the FG of Nigeria? If they were involved, then that act you mentioned holds or in Kanu was stateless, then it holds also.

You need to stop seeing Kanu as a Nigerian first but a British. Then you will have a better and clearer picture.

You think it’s by chance that the Nigerian judges are embarking on an indefinite vacation 2 weeks to July 26th? That’s because there wasn’t any bases to abduct that Kanu guy. I’m not speaking as IPOB or Yoruba Nation or Arewa but with common sense.

Mynd44:

Where is the extradition proceedings for Hushpuppi even though he is not American?

See eh, just dont piss governments off else they will bag, tag and transport you however they can/want to another country
It is America you mentioned. We all know that they are the world power, if a country refuse to cooperate with them, they can mess the country up through non military means like hijacking the economy of that country through sanctions, stop the sale of weapons to the said country, stop aid, loans, and investment in that country, turn the people of that country against the government and mess everything up. In the case of Nigeria, what do we have? What can we do?
So hushpupi's case shouldn't even be mentioned here by someone as intelligent as u are.
Ordinary kenya, Nigeria govt is trying so hard to cover up; with all these cover ups, one should believe that this case is not under the carpet for Nigeria government

Not here. It is admissible and will be used. The court does not care if you were brought legally or illegally. As long as you are there, case open

Remember Nnamdi Kanu isn't Nigerian, and he wasn't kidnapped sorry arrested in Nigeria.
He was kidnapped in a foreign country.

That's an act of terrorism. Your logic doesn't hold water, sadly.

NK has renounced Nigerian citizenship over and over in the pastS

You can't go overseas kidnap a foreigner and bring him to Nigeria. That's state sponsored terrorism and international law doesn't all that

Oh! But a foreigner can put another country to jeorpady, order killings, and destruction.

Unfortunately, the real world does not work like that.

Just because you announce on radio or TV that you renounce your citizenship does not mean any thing.

Below is the process of renouncing your citizenship (according to section 29 of the constitution) and guess what? The president still has to approve of it else, you remain a Nigerian

God bless this guy

Nnamdi Kanu is a British citizen. Your Draconian Buharist laws can't apply to him

So if you go to the UK and break their laws, they'll simply let you go because their laws don't apply to a Nigerian?

How do you guys even think?

Under the new evidence act, evidence gotten through illegal means can now be endured in court as long as the evidence is relevant.

Hence Nnamdi Kanu been back whether illegally or legally doesn't matter as long as he is back.

The Supreme Court said in cases where personal liberty and National Security clashes, National Security takes the lead in cases of National Security, your personal right as a person doesn't matter.

Well said my brother

What "laws" has Kanu broken?
How does wanting out of a failed country amount to felony?

So from the accounts of this, Malami did not lie.

And he was arrested by the NIA and sister agencies from Kenya.

As for the claims of extraordinary rendition, the lawyer needs to read the new evidence act and then read the supreme court judgenent of personal rights and national security.

Personal rights and national security doesn't work outside the shores of nigeria

It's a nigerian law not an international law

Kanu was not in Nigeria.
He was abducted from another country, which is an international crime. Nigerian officials must answer for that first.

Britain that created Nigeria doesn't see secessionist movements as illegal, which is why Britain is unlikely to extradite Kanu

He (not an American o) was arrested by Dubai authorities and sent to America on a private jet.

Kanu (a Nigerian) was arrested by Kenyan intelligence and was sent to Nigeria on a private jet.

Not similar at all
The Kenyan government denied arresting Kanu, but the Dubai authority never denied arresting Hushpuppy so Kanu was kidnapped by the Nigerian government. If you think the Nigerian government can do whatsoever she wishes after breaking international law, even you as a moderator here will lose your job when the sanctions start rolling in.

some one that takes up arm against a seating government, asking his tribe to kill all the police and army in the region is what? Asking for independence is not a crime but carrying arms and inciting violence is treason. Get it and stop thinking others don't know the law.

I am not asking that he should be released ok
U want to talk law
And I asked a basic question
U are running away from it
Does our supreme court judgement extend to Kenya
It's a simple yes or no

He who comes to equity must come with clean hands
It's an international issue
Nigeria has lost this case already if the Brit come on board

Why do you people sound like Nigeria is not a sovereign country and like Britain has a say in our proceedings?

That's how you people expected Trump to invade Nigeria and create Biafra.

Kanu is an insurgent who wanted to start a civil war, raising an illegal armed militia who went around killing Nigerian security personnel.

Keep waiting for Britain to send commandos to rescue him.

Nnamdi Kanu is a dead man already.

All you foolish Igbos and Ibo miscreants can wail from now till your timely deaths. It won’t change this fact!

Hey Bandit! Be calming down small small.

We know, you the Almajiris are in a fast move to end Kanu but to your dismay, that won't translate to ending Biafra.

Whatever the Igbos set their mind to do, they achieve it. A mere Almajiri/Bandit/Boko Haram/Yollobar Muslim can't stop us.

If you have ever been to the east, it's a very small enclave. The vegetable/'terolist' in Aso Rock would call it a dot. Yet the whole Nigeria would ally to contain and contend them.

We are not your mate!

You're wrong bro. Just as the Federal laws supercedes any States Laws, same way the International Laws supercede any National Laws.
Extrajudicial rendition is a serious breach of international laws and no national interest counts in such cases.

I don't think international laws supersede national laws..

At best they are persuasive.. for them to be mandatory, the state's legislature must incorporate it into its laws
