FAWI Holds Second Graduation For Oyo Indigenes On Aug 21 by Nobody: 11:53am On Jul 18, 2021
Non-Governmental Organisation, Folorunsho Adisa Welfare Initiative has revealed plans to hold its second graduation anniversary for beneficiaries of its empowerment programmes.

The Founder, Princess Omolara Adisa in a statement made available to newsmen disclosed that indigents of Iseyin in Oyo State and some other neighbouring communities benefitted from the empowerment programmes.

Princess Adisa who is an indigene of Iseyin and a London based philanthropist revealed that the beneficiaries were trained on skills which include; catering, hairdressing, ICT, soap making, Tailoring and cosmetolog and Barbing.

The United Kingdom based philanthropist said the graduation is slated to hold on August 21st.

The second graduation ceremony will hold in conjuction with the birthday celebration of the founder.

She further noted that the foundation decided to train the Oyo indigents so as to give them what they can use to survive irrespective of the situation in the country.

She added that the graduation ceremony scheduled to hold on 21st of August will served as avenue to showcase some of the unique skills of the beneficiary to the world.

Princess Adisa during interview last year said the foundation will render support for no fewer than two million indigenes from Oke-Ogun area of Oyo state.

She noted that the foundation want to take more than 5,000 indigenes of Iseyin from the street in two years.

But, the philanthropist in the statement noted that the foundation is not politically motivated, but her desired to give back to the society.

She added, "My Empowerment is a clarion call to all our women and youths of Iseyin."

Important personalities expected to grace the occasion include; Oba AbdulGaniy Oloogunebi, Sen. AbdulFatai Buhari, Hon. Shina Peller, Hon. Muftau Abilawon and Chief Adeniyi Akintola.

Others expected at the event are; Alhaji Ahmed Raji, Alhaji Ishaq Folorunsho and Sen. Gbenga Babalola, among others.
