Fifa's Proposed Revolution: 30- Minute Halves, Unlimited Substitutions... by ExAngel007(f): 7:26am On Jul 21, 2021

FIFA has begun the first phase of tests to change some rules that would change the game of football.

Among the four new proposals, which have already been tested in the Future Cup, are the possibility of unlimited
substitutions and throw-ins with the foot, as well as reducing time halves from 45 minutes to 30 minutes.

A revolution in football is on the horizon. FIFA has already begun the first phase of tests to introduce new rules that would change the current football situation , proposals that have already been tested in the Future Cup tournament, in the match between the youth categories of RB Leipzig and AZ Alkmaar.

The four new proposals include the possibility of changing the duration of matches, which would be reduced from two 45-minute halves to 30minutes , but with the novelty that the clock would stop with each interruption, a measure that is
already in practice in other sports such as basketball and futsal and which would guarantee an effective half hour of play.

In addition, FIFA wants to move from the five changes that can be made per game at the moment due to COVID-19 to unlimited substitutions, which would allow the coach more opportunities to modify his squad.

The international body is also testing the possibility of throw-ins with the foot instead of the hands, which would create more dangerous situations as balls could be sent directly into the opponent's penalty area.

Finally, FIFA wants to punish a yellow card with a temporary suspension of five minutes , which would mean that the cautioned player would have to remain on the sideline for that time and would leave his team outnumbered.

Once the tournament for under-19s, which is also being contested by PSV and Brugge , has concluded, FIFA will evaluate the impact of these four changes on the tournament and will consider whether to submit any of them to the International Football Association Board (IFAB), which is the body that sets the rules of the game worldwide.

cheesy

I'm not a fan of football, but I think these changes will make players more serious. Imagine a throw-in, shot like a free-kick!
30 minutes instead of 45 minutes halftime will be like, "Whatever you have to do, do it quick and stop keeping us in suspense."

Those proposed changes sound bizarre. Allow the current format please. They can introduce another competition that will use only that rule.

Nice and interesting.

No more unnecessary time wasting.

Plus they shouldn't call it a trow in since they're gonna be using legs now. Call it KICK INs
