What is so special about Ajakuota steel that the Buhari government is hell-bent on reviving it?

Historically speaking about Ajakuota steel it was a company that was established by the late Alhaji Shehu Usman Shagari, then President of Nigeria.

The Buhari as military head of state now a civilian President toppled the Buhari government in December 1983.

Why is he so passionate about reviving the legacy of a previous government that he overthrew.

Not only that he threw the likes of late governor solomon lar, ambrose alli into jail.

If Ajakuota steel was an agro allied company that is meant to support farms I would not have fault it's establishment.

The north needs agro industries because of its comparative advantage in agricultural produce not steel.

If Ajakuota steel was located in Lagos, Ondo, Edo, Delta, Rivers Akwa Ibom or in the south east like Anambra, Imo state etc

Ajakuota steel would have been much productive as it will be closed to the oil and gas business,

Also, better technical manpower can be harnessed.

The southern seaport will also provide other added advantages.

My vision for Ajakuota steel is not a steel industry not minding the fact that there is the so called abundance of raw material in Kogi state or the north to service Ajakuota steel.

The north do not need a steel industry.

They need mechanized farms with Agro allied industry.

If Ajakuota steel was converting farm produce to finish product it would have made a better taste.

You are really a selfish and evil person, so carried away by few crumbs you receive from your benefactors, not minding the killings, the corruption and the total decimation of the country's unity through nepotism.

Your people are being removed from positions and replaced by Fulani's and you are only interested in the little change you're getting from the oppressor of your people. Shame really.
