They're not only invasive. They carry deadly diseases like schistosomiasis which results in thousands of deaths in Africa.

Because we may have natural immunity aka, herd immunity built up over time and established in our populations which they may not have.
Be informed.

The Spanish and Portuguese adventures to the Americas in the dark ages wiped away hundreds of communities and thousands of native tribesmen who had no natural immunity to the diseases those Europeans carried. It still happens today and Covid has alerted the world to the grave dangers of cross border infections particularly from non native species of animals.

Every sensible government is on alert.
