The video shows the moments at least three rockets landed near the presidential palace in Afghanistan on July 20, 2021, disrupting an outdoor prayer ceremony attended by Afghan President Ashraf Ghani and a group of other leaders to mark the start of the Muslim holiday of Eid al-Adha. It was the first rocket attack on the capital Kabul since the Taliban launched a series of offensives to coincide with the final draw down of foreign troops from the war-wracked country. But the insurgents denied they were behind the strike near the heavily fortified palace. President Ghani, dressed in traditional Afghan clothing and a turban, stands at the front and appears to not even flinch as the crowd bows together. “The Taliban have proved that they have no will and intention for peace,” he said in a speech afterwards.
