Yes, Gumi is a staunch supporter of PDP. He extremely hates PMB. In 2007, when PMB appealed against Yar'adua's election Gumi scornfully criticised him and said he denounced his religion for doing so.
Do u know why? because Gumi is likely to be psychological sick; Ahmad Abubakar Gumi is an Islamic cleric, scholar and former military officer with the rank of captain in the Nigeria Defence Academy and a Medical Doctor but he's doing nothing that reflect his intelligence background. When he was Lecturer at Saudi Arabia, he behaved in controversial way by making contentious statements that made Saudi govt to remand him in Prison, beside allegations of a phone call with Umar Farouq.
If not because he was saved by OBJ's administration, Saudi govt would have chopped his head. Since that rescue of OBJ, he became ardent supporter of PDP.
