A MURDERED schoolboy died trying to get his BlackBerry back from a gang of muggers, police said last night.

Teenager Temidayo Ogunneye was robbed of his pricey smartphone by three yobs.

Cops now believe he returned 80 minutes later with three pals determined to retrieve the gadget.

A clash broke out between the two groups - some of whom were in school uniform - and Temidayo, 15, was stabbed in the stomach.

After the fight, witnessed by up to ten teenagers, his killer ran off shouting, 'I done him'.

Nigerian-born Temidayo died in hospital six hours after the fight on the Calais Gate estate in Camberwell, South London, on Wednesday afternoon.

Det Chief Insp John McFarlane, leading the inquiry, said: "He was robbed by three youths and returned with mates in an attempt to regain the phone. It was during an altercation he received the wounds."

A resident of the estate reported seeing three or four girls gathered round Temidayo as he lay injured in the street.

BlackBerrys are popular with teenagers because of a free inter-phone message service.

Three youths were being quizzed yesterday.

Methinks the youth need new role models.So many black kids getting killed down in south London these days. Hardly a month goes past without one dying and more worrisome, the killers are often black too.

You don't get it, after Damilola Taylor many other black kids have been killed, mostly by other Black kids in other gangs. Its not a while on black thing, its a ''misguided black youth'' problem.

Guns are rare in England correct? It's surprising to me that the crime rate in south London is not much lower.

This had nothing with the youth being 'Nigerian'.

The boy was robbed for his blackberry - and not for being Nigerian.

Unfortunately for him it would appear he underestimated the robbers and decided to return with a 'weak crew'.

The final outcome was that he was robbed again - this time of his life.

I cant understand where all this cowardliness is coming from among black youths. Imagine, two 18 year old's ganging up on a mere 15 year old child!Not only that, they use a knife. I know that Nigerians are good fighters but it is a bit ridiculous to be so frightened as to go fight a 15 year old one and to use a knife on him.

Strange, but almost all Nigerian youth killed this way have been very, very young. Its like they are too frightened of Nigerian men so they attack Nigerian babies barley out of pram. Cowards!
