I see myself as a freethinker but not an atheist. Personally, I don't believe in religion at all. However I believe there is a Supreme being ( God) and who created me and this universe.

But my family and friends believe as much as I don't believe in religion e.g Christianity, Islam, traditional etc, I am an theist too. Is there really a difference?

As long as your thoughts are still influenced by something: tradition, supreme being, education, opinion or ideology, your thinking is fettered. You are not a freethinker.

A freethinker is a person who thinks freely or independently, one who forms opinions on the basis of reason independently of authority, especially one who rejects or is skeptical of religious dogma.


An Atheist is someone who simply lacks belief in God's or dieties, nothing more, or less.

You will embrace a religion if convinced.
Righteousness pls do the needful.

Simple thing you need to know about both is this.
Being an atheist means you don't believe in anything spiritual. No God or gods . No sango. No amadioha. Nothing is bigger than physical.

But a freethinker believes in the laws.
I will brake it down.
They believe the president of Nigeria is Bihari and the president of other earth called haven by the Christian is called hu - god.

And that's where you get Hu man. A man president.

I'm a freethinker and all that matters is love.
No enternity when you die.
You only transit to another place gather then the earth.
