Jubilation as Team Nigeria has secured it's first medal in the ongoing Olympic competition in Tokyo

Team Nigeria has secured it's first bronze medal in the ongoing Olympic competition in Tokyo by Eze Brume.

Eze Brume who is a 25 years old athlete qualified for the final stage of the competition on Sunday morning leaping to a distance of 6.76m, 1cm more than the required mark.

Eze Brume made a 6.97m jump in the final to secure bronze medal.

Eze Brume is the Nigerian's representative in Tokyo since the disqualification of Ruth Usoro by the athletic integrity unit way back.
