We truly have more than abundant talent in Nigeria but the issue is that there is no structure in place to harness those talents. Just look at other Nigerian athletes who now compete for other countries. Had it been they were born here or stayed back here, they won't even have the chance to showcase their talent, nurture it or even get noticed. This is how many talents die off in this country. After our president will call us lazy youth, whereas sports that has been a very good avenue to keep our teaming youthful population occupied and focus on something. Sports would have been a way out of poverty for many youths.
