Kano state is a Shariah state that imposed Islamic religion law on every resident of the state no matter his or her religion
The state even have Islamic police named Hisbah that intimate, molest and harass people who break their religious code including indecent dressing
To dress decently according to Shariah law Hisbah implement in Kano state, a woman has to cover her body from head to toe.
Any woman caught in Kano violating this shariah dress code will be subjected to harassment and arrest by Hishbah. Don’t ask me under which Nigeria law they operate. When it comes to religion, Nigerians the suspend constitution for divine law.
Hisbah also close down shops that sell alcohol and destroys hundreds of catoons of alcohol drinks. Never mind that the same Holy state share out of the VAT generated from the sales of the devilish alcohol by other states.
Let’s come back to Hisbah and indecent dressing. The picture above is the bride of the President’s son and the daughter of the Emir of Kano in open necked see through cloth displayed on social media for the world to see.
The president is an Islamic fundamentalist while the Emir of Kano is supposed to the custodian of Shariah law but when it comes to the rich and the powerful, Shariah law is suspended.
If this lady is from a poor family in Kano, Hishbah would have traced her home to arrest her.
But the oppressed poor will still shout rankadede for their oppressors
That’s why northern elite promotes the almajiris system because they know that illiracy breed poverty and they need a mass of poor people to control with religion.
