I don't think it will, new opportunities will rather be created

We’re still in ANI (Artificial Narrow Intelligence” where a machine is trained to do one specific job and that job alone. We’ve not gotten to AGI(Artificial General Intelligence) where machine begins to equate man.
ASI (Artificial Super Intelligence) may never happen.

"overtake humans in every aspect" Hell No. Never.

AI will never have a soul. Just like humans whom have abandoned their creator and think we could be greater than God, Robots might at some point in their evolution also think they can overtake man but it won't happen. Man is limited, so what man creates will be even more limited.

AI is at the level where it's being designed to learn and as such make its own decisions/actions that were not pre-programmed. Now, that decision could be very very wrong because it depends on data gather. So "garbage in garbage out" would still be a problem for AI despite the advancement in machine learning. So basically Man's intervention will always be required.

Can AI pro-create (AI make AI)? Like based on ML it decides its going to create a Robot with ability to also learn and do whatever it decides?

Biological Cloning of humans is what has the potential for "overtaking man in EVERY ASPECT " but it has come under some heavy regulation plus results have been far from perfect. If it had been at least we would have seen a growth in its adoption for Animal production. Same heavy regulation would soon apply in AI.

Machine Learning and Deep Learning are proving to be promising.

I greatly disagree….AI have the potentials to out pace it’s creator because of the far greater processing power and speed that humans don’t have.

I agree with the question of souls, our soul makes us to be morals, AIs would lack morals because they lack soul but they will be more efficient and more perfect and more effective than humans and they have started doing that.

As far as ‘garbage in garbage out’ big data algorithms takes cares of that and there are daily continual fine tuning to make it near perfect.

As for AI reproducing themselves that is very possible in the very near future. 3D printing is catching on and that is a good example of machines producing machines or 3D structures.

Yes, there are heavy regulations, but the truth is regulations will not stop these advancements, it is only slow it down. There are heavy regulations and sanctions today against producing nuclear weapons, but that have not stopped it, so it impossible for regulation to stop it.

In Software Defined Networking today, we have Network orchestrations that self-build network devices on-demand e.g. new vFirewalls, new vRouters, new vLoad balancer, new vSwitches, etc… these Networks use big data to ‘sense’ demands and self-build new network entities of their kinds to handle the increase traffic….when demand is low, they automatically take down the excess resources.
