By the law of demand and supply, stopping production will make it scarce. A scarcity in supply leads to a rise in demand, and subsequently a rise in price... Summarily, PS5 prices will skyrocket.

It’ll do the opposite. I don’t think price is dropping anytime soon, not until the slim version drops or supply outstrips demand. Just take your mind off it and play your PS4 or whatever you play vidya with.
