American troops can’t be fighting a war Afghan forces are not willing to fight -Biden

President Joe Biden says the United States forces can’t be fighting a war Afghan forces are not willing to fight themselves.

He said the US mission in the Taliban-torn Afghanistan 20 years ago was to get the attackers of September 11, 2001 and not to build the landlocked Asian country.

“American forces cannot and should not be fighting in a war and dying in a war that Afghan forces are not willing to fight for themselves,” Biden said.

US forces' pull-out from Afghanistan like its 'going-in' was a decision made in protection of American lives, interests and assets. It was NEVER about Afghans men or women. As Biden rightly said "American troops cannot and should not be fighting in a war and dying in a war that Afghan forces are not willing to fight for themselves".

America being who they are, I am convince of the following:
1. It is highly likely that before the pull-out, US negotiated and reached a kind of DEAL with the Taliban leadership. Trust strategic-minded Americans on this. Russia and China fully understood this and are already responding in line with their own interests too.
2. There is no way US will do complete pull-out if it hasn't developed layers of likely swift and sustainable responses to apply if Taliban Government breaks terms of the deal.

However, the issue is whether the Taliban Government will keep to the terms of the deal in the long term. Will they focus on internal governance to build a nation, loosen up a bit on its extremist doctrines especially against women, relate responsibly to other countries as partners in global peace and refuse to be a breeding ground for Islamic terrorists. Time will tell.

I knew even before now that the USA has a precise reason for allowing the mess in Afghanistan get to this point...this is same thing I have been advising Christian military men fighting Boko haram in Nigeria to do,.resign and allow Muslims handle what they created by themselves for reasons best known to them...

I just agree with Joe Boden on this, how can the Taliban's easily defeat the Afghan Army like that, as if they are playing easy mode on COD.

With the ease and speed at which the entire country was taken after alot of resources was spent on training the Afghan military, it's pretty obvious that the US was just wasting their time and resources. It all points to the fact that Taliban is popular among Afghans.

I totally agree with the president if they can not fight for their nation it’s a waste of humans and energy to fight for them

The US army have tried, Afghans should face its problem
