The way I run now whenever I hear Access Bank. Two weeks ago I was scammed, reported the case to the bank, till date I still receive notification case email from them but nothing has been done. Same bank freezed my account cos someone paid in money that is not even big lolz.

The criminal mentioned first bank and access bank.i watched him iife.so dont exclude first bank upon all their gagara yet so easy to manipulate.

My uncle was a victim last year as well. His fone was pickpocketed and all the money in his acct was wiped out and those fraudsters also went ahead to take payday loan of close too 100k and trust me Access bank was not helpful at all in retrieving the money plus the payday loan was automatically deducted from his next salary.
They couldn't even trace the bank acct of the recipient

It was actually a long tussle plenty of mails and in fact legal battle before the money was reversed inclusive of the payday loan earlier deducted.

Trust me that was one of the reasons I made up my mind neva to use my Access and my Old Diamond acct again.

My sim card requires pin each time I switched off and on my phone. No chance for hackers

I lost my ATM card recently and after the little funds in my account was wiped off by fraudsters, I blocked the card and the mobile app but I've gotten this pending debit message twice even tho I've not funded the account since then. I just want to know if the account is still safe when I'm ready to fund it?? Cuz I don't understand why I'm still getting this pending debits after blocking the card.

Yes I did but not through the bank. Police tracked the fraudster and arrested him before I was refunded the amount and all I spent to get him.

Can you imagine?you have to still spend money to track the fraudster that stole from the bank due to the lack of good security.

Very useless bank. If you can get access to someone's sim card, account number, and date of birth, you can easily reset their pin.

I called first bank to block it and they said they blocked it. I even asked them to deactivate the mobile app and it's been done.

If a client transfer money to you, whether you received alert or not, you can easily confirm by checking the mobile app.

Mobile app is just for financial transactions.

Deactivating mobile app can't stop someone from debiting your account

So they don't need to login to your mobile app to debit your account

The only way is to block the debit card

The most useless bank so far.. pls I’m a victim . They cleared and wrecked me through my AccessBank, as I no die. It’s a long story I tell ya. My advice is never put reasonable amount of money in that acc they’re useless

They sent otp. If you input the otp, the transaction will fail because of insufficient funds
That message in the screenshot is the last stage of the transaction which will still fail because of insufficient funds.

To deactivate mobile banking you can use any phone to do it provided you know your phone number. Just dial this in any phone

Almost all the banks are guilty of not needing a password to recharge your bank linked sim. First bank, GTB, Eco, Access, Zenith are all culprits. It's only UBA & then polaris (i don't know about the others not listed) that's different
