JOB PROFILE


A1. HUMAN RESOURCES OFFICER Must have HND or first degree in a relevant field and have not less than 5 to 10 years’ experience in management of personnel. He/She must be assertive enough to ensure proper discipline of the drivers without giving room for any industrial action.



A2. TRUCK DRIVERS Candidates must have a minimum of West African School Certificate or its equivalent. They must possess a category G driver’s license and must have at least 5- 10 years’ experience in driving heavy duty articulated trucks covering nation-wide routes. Candidates with FSLC and appropriate driving license can be considered on the condition that they can read and write very clearly and have over 10-15 years’ experience in the driving the type of trucks they are being recruited for.



A3. TRUCK ASSISTANTS/MOTOR BOY Contractor shall on its own conduct background check on the truck assistant. The truck assistants shall be considered as trainee drivers who may be given opportunity to become drivers in the company when they finish their apprenticeship. Must have drivers License and trade test.



DEPUTY GENERAL MANAGER OPERATIONS

Same Qualifications as General Manger Operations but be 40 to 45 years old with at least 10 years working experience in Logistics,Fleet Management or related industry. Experience in management of fleet is essential. Knowledge of modern fleet management software is an advantage. Candidates must be capable of working with little or no supervision. Computer literacy is indispensable


MANAGER OPERATIONS Same qualification as DGM OPERATIONS but aged about 35-40 years with at least 5 years working experience in the logistics industry. Experience in management of fleet is essential. OPERATIONS SUPERVISORS Successful candidates will be responsible for the day to day supervision of a fleet of trucks and their drivers to ensure that the set targets are met. Candidates must possess a university degree with 8 years working experience in a supervisory and management position in transportation organisation.



ACCOUNTS MANAGER Successful candidate will be responsible for the accounting services of the company. Candidate must be a chartered accountant with a base degree in Accountancy or Finance. Must have more than 10 years post charter experience and hands-on experience of ERP software. Ability to interpret bank transactions is a critical requirement. Experience in a similar position will be advantageous.



B8. ACCOUNTS & ADMIN OFFICERS Successful candidates will be responsible for the accounts and administrative services of a location or venture. Candidates must possess first degree or HND in accountancy. Candidate must have 5years post qualification experience. Knowledge of administrative or human resource duties will be an added advantage. Professional certification will be an advantage. Must be familiar with modern accounting software. Computer literacy is indispensable.



B12. MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR Candidates must possess a minimum of HND in automobile engineeringor related course . He must have over 7-15 years’ experience hands on trucks/Vehicle maintenance. Must have held the position of foreman/maintenance officer in a relevant reputable organisation. He must be familiar with contemporary diagnostic equipment of various trucks. Experience in a similar position is desired.



B13. TRUCK MECHANICS Candidates must possess a minimum qualification of City & Guilds II Certificate or equivalent in automobile maintenance and repairs with over7- 10 years’ experience in truck maintenance. Possession of O-level Certificate and a trade certificate issued by a reputable organisation will be acceptable.

An OND in automobile engineering will give added advantage . Familiarity with use of modern diagnostic equipment will also be useful.


TRUCKS ELECTRICIAN Same qualification as truck mechanic but in the electrical discipline.



B16. SAFETY OFFICERS Successful candidates will be responsible for enlightenment and enforcement of the company safety rules in the region or venture they are assigned to. The candidate must possess a good university degree or HND in Transport Management, engineering or related disciplines. Must possess certificate in HSE Supervision & Leadership, General HSE, Fire Fighting and First Aid. Candidate must have 3 years’ working experience. Computer literacy is indispensable.



B17. SECURITY OFFICER Successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the security of the business in defined areas the country. Candidate must be an ex -police officer who retired at the rank of ASP or above or an ex[1]military officer who retired from the rank of Lieutenant or above. A background in investigation discipline is mandatory.
