How far can 10k or 15k sustain her for a month?

That money can't even cover her basic amenities like sanitary pads, recharge card, data subscription, bathing soap, tooth paste, detergents, toilet tissue, cream, perfume... etc.

So what's the purpose of doing the job?

Let her learn a trade then source out capital to start and I strongly believe that she'll make more than 800% of that amount at the end of the month.
N
Good luck.

Source our capital?how brother?

Though both 10k and 15k salary are small, but still, it's better than doing nothing or depending on boyfriend, or worse still engaging in prostitution in the name of 'Hookup' girl.

That said, personally, I think Ibadan will be better. It's apparently more developed than Osun. Economically, it has more prospects and can be more lucrative, should her work involve sales (considering having more people as habitant).

Well, the salary is poor but if the jobs comes with other side hassle or token, it is not too bad, secondly if the job is such that can lead to self development and be her own both tomorrow in same line/field then she can manage, she can just learn a trade and start up her own business better than the two options

So elder sister called me today that she got a job in Osun which pays 10k per month. This got me a little upset because her current job pays 15k in Ibadan. I asked her why and she said life is much cheaper in Osun compared to Oyo state. I've not been to both States, so that is why I want to hear people's opinion, which do you think is better.

Concerning accommodation, She already has a place to stay in both States, so the question now is, can one survive with 10k per month in Osun and also 15k per month in Ibadan when the only need is food?

I feel so sad when i hear such salaries for 1 months work, where feeding, transport and probably health needs will take from.

It is only in Nigeria that a jobless person will be telling another person that his salary is too small - Wazobia FM grin
*With that said, no one should be earning less than 50k a month in Nigeria but how can a business pay that amount when they hardly even make any profit. Some employers are just keeping the business afloat just to pay their employees knowing how difficult things are. That's the reality of several small scale businesses in a very difficult terrain.

Shows how terrible your thinking falculty is. I would rather go for a 10k or 15k job than resort to begging. There is dignity in labour.

This is underemployment bro. I have a sentimental attachment to Oyo state, so I'll say Ibadan. Otherwise I'll say none is worth the stress. Best wishes for the future

Thank you! My brother got his major break through a customer while working a 18k job. There is more to life than we see and more often than not, our attitude determines our altitude.

Life in Ibadan is more cheaper than Osun..
Osun isn't as it was again.... Let her remain in Ibadan, unless she has other thing to support her self with in Osun aside the 10k salary.

Where in Ibadan, I may be able to help secure employ in a super market at Oluyole.

Slot has been held down for me but not been able to fill it cos of the salary which is just 30k. Not good enough but better than 15k.

This is retrogression of the highest order! The level of poverty in Nigeria is legendary. My advice look inwards, horn your skills, acquire new skills or a learn a trade if you must. Refuse to stay at this level of life and Open your heart and let God fill you with visions and ideas! You will sing for joy pretty soon

Oh! My Good GOD, see what this BUHARI is doinf to My people in Nigeria.

This is so bad. What kind of leader is BUHARI?

You promise us change and look at what you end up giving us.

£15 pounds here is #10, 500naira.

Here, you cant even dash or give someone £15 coz nobody wil say thank you, and that is what they some one as salary in Nigeria.

I curse those that sold BUHARI to Nigerians.

Basically, things wasnt this bad before BUHARI takeover.

A woman that left UK to Nigeria for her mother burial was shot dead by bandits last week.

Oh! God Arise help Nigerians and help Nigeria.

Tears in my eyes as am writing these.

God, you are the one that sank Pharaoh and his entourage in the red sea, please sank BUHARI and all his co- colleagues that are suffering Nigerians in the red sea in Jesus mighty name.

Amen!

Well that's all she have now. To most is not even a choice at all, but in life, something's are bound to happen who knows she will meet someone that will propel her to greater heights or her hard work and dedication to her duties will elevate her. Also don't forget that as humans our experiences shape's us. I'm sure she is thinking of getting a something better keep pushing, keep grinding Better days Ahead...
