Bros no vex, So people pass that stage one test?? What did u score if i may ask? The failure rate was damning and someone who scored 29 was told he failed. Pls what did u score?

I got a mail at midnight inviting me for interview on the 24th May. I also just received a follow up call confirming my attendance a few minutes ago.

I didnt write a test and this is the first stage for me. The person that called mentioned interviews have been ongoing at HCDC for various AMCON roles.

Please is there any one in the house who has attended an interview? any hints or tips please?

I was sent that mail too and my cv and details kept bouncing back even after resending. To my pleasant surprise, i received a mail specifically addressed to me and not the usual 'Dear Applicant".

It was pretty well-organized to be honest. there were already print outs with all invited names. I met a total of about 8 candidates while I was there. There is a short technical test for about 15mins before the interview so you are advised to get there about 30 mins before your interview slot. Everyone has to write the short technical test before their interview. There were HCDC consultants interviewing for different roles, i figured they were specialists in those roles.

They are interviewing people role by role. So if you have not been called, don't worry- they probably have not started interviewing for your role.
My advice- apply for as many roles as interest you. I wasn't called for the initial role I applied for in march. I was called for one of the supplementary roles i applied for 2wks ago!

All I have been getting are mails to update my profile,about four times now.

@amor4ce. I keep getting 'em update details mails too! I still updated my details tonite as well! I'm not sure what you mean, I think the mail is legit. I actually didn't even use the link in the mail. My pc already has HCDC site in the drop down so I went on directly to update the details hopefully for the last time! It doesn't hurt to check with the IT help-line I guess though, Cheers.

I applied for Business and Strategic Planning. I got a mail on Wednesday asking me to update my data latest Friday, 27th by 5pm. I haven't heard anything since then.

I'm not sure there are any recruitment exercises specifically for people out of the country. I've not heard of anyone that has been shortlisted for interviews who is out of the country.
I also think the most recent update mails were sent to all registered candidates on their database cos everyone seems to have received the mail.
Anyone that has been interviewed should feel free to share with the house please.

it was a finance role. I heard of IT interviews as well - though i'm not sure of which specific IT roles. I applied for the PMO role as well but I was not called up for that- well, I'm better off with Finance anyways though You being in Canada makes things a little challenging to travel all the way to be interviewed! Just the airfare alone, wow!

I have not heard of anyone shortlisted for any other role , that's why I'm throwing this open to other folks that have been interviewed to share with the house.


I hear the pay would be better than CBN but its unconfirmed. It would be great to hear from anyone that has any idea.

I did my Masters in the UK with a former CBN employee and he says it should be the same salary structure since CBN just did a review. I doubt they would make it higher but who knows.

About being in Canada, I know, the air fare is something else but what can I do. My last job role was in the UK but I really got fed up there and relocated to Canada and I'm trying to get a work permit here. Lord help me, lol

I relocated to Nigeria when I got fed up of the UK! lol I lived in a pretty remote part of the UK- very very few blacks so I can imagine how Canada is like,
I got tired of my brief stint living abroad and am definitely not interested in exploring other countries! All the best with your work permit though. May God grant you your heart desires in Jesus name.

I will personally want your input.
I applied for a finance role but hasn't been called test or interview(though I prefer they call me just for interview).
I have received a mail from them like 4 times asking that I update my status which I have done.
On checking no of aplications I noticed the goofed big time.They registered Snr Mgr-Site Acquisition for me.
I didn't want to totally delete it as I do not know if I can still select a new role after that.I sent a mail to them explaining the error.

How was your interview and for what level were you interviewed?
