Hadith أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ زُرَيْعٍ، وَغَسَّانَ بْنِ مُضَرَ، قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مَسْلَمَةَ، - وَاسْمُهُ سَعِيدُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ بَصْرِيٌّ - ثِقَةٌ قَالَ سَأَلْتُ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ أَكَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يُصَلِّي فِي النَّعْلَيْنِ قَالَ نَعَمْ . Abu Maslamah - whose name is Saeed bin Yazid, a trustworthy Basri - told us: "I asked Anas bin Malik: 'Did the Prophet (ﷺ) pray in sandals?' He said: 'Yes.'" Narrated Abu Sa'id al-Khudri: While the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) was leading his Companions in prayer, he took off his sandals and laid them on his left side; so when the people saw this, they removed their sandals. When the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) finished his prayer, he asked: What made you remove your sandals? The replied: We saw you remove your sandals, so we removed our sandals. The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) then said: Gabriel came to me and informed me that there was filth in them. When any of you comes to the mosque, he should see; if he finds filth on his sandals, he should wipe it off and pray in them. Hadith حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا مَرْوَانُ بْنُ مُعَاوِيَةَ الْفَزَارِيُّ، عَنْ هِلاَلِ بْنِ مَيْمُونٍ الرَّمْلِيِّ، عَنْ يَعْلَى بْنِ شَدَّادِ بْنِ أَوْسٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم خَالِفُوا الْيَهُودَ فَإِنَّهُمْ لاَ يُصَلُّونَ فِي نِعَالِهِمْ وَلاَ خِفَافِهِمْ " Narrated Aws ibn Thabit al-Ansari: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: Act differently from the Jews, for they do not pray in their sandals or their shoes. Narrated Abdullah ibn Amr ibn al-'As: I saw the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) praying both barefooted and wearing sandals. Hadith أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، قَالَ أَنْبَأَنَا بَقِيَّةُ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الزُّبَيْرِيُّ، أَنَّ مَكْحُولاً، حَدَّثَهُ أَنَّ مَسْرُوقَ بْنَ الأَجْدَعِ حَدَّثَهُ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَشْرَبُ قَائِمًا وَقَاعِدًا وَيُصَلِّي حَافِيًا وَمُنْتَعِلاً وَيَنْصَرِفُ عَنْ يَمِينِهِ وَعَنْ شِمَالِهِ . It was narrated that 'Aishah said: "I saw the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) drink standing and sitting, and he prayed barefoot and with sandals, and he left (after prayer) to the right and to the left."
