Heard from my professional body that Sunak Oil$Gas Corp will pay dividends of energy bill discount of £400 (energy rebate) for all households from this October for ***free*** (for Mahala as they say in South Africa).
Let the renter tell the rentor that the rentees must to smile as well o.
PS: the £400 rebate is now in the news.

My mum was denied visiting visa based on inability to prove relationship. She uploaded my birth certificate, marriage certificate, pictures of us together on my wedding and graduation. How else can someone prove relationship?

If the child is born in the UK why do you wanna put in an application for them? Except if you plan to take the child out of UK during your settlement period, they are eligible for British passport once one of the parents gets ILR

Being born in the UK gives the child exactly the same status as its parents have now - they are still visa-dependent foreign nationals just like their parents, and are still liable to pay the IHS for treatment and visa fees subsequently for visas in line with their parents' status.

The potential to acquire UK citizenship is still far.

What was the wording of the denial letter? It seems a bit of a stretch she was denied even with all that evidence.

Please can someone explain if I can drive with my Nigerian international driving license and also if it could be extended. Also does having a provisional license invalidate my international driving license?
How does both work hand in hand?
Re: Living In The Uk-life Of An Immigrant (part 2) by donald197: 9:17pm On May 26, 2022
You state you are visiting your son. I note you have provided supporting evidence with your application and whilst I have considered the information provided, it does not demonstrate the relationship with your sponsors or, other than the letter of invitation, there is any connection, contact or communication. I am not satisfied that you and your sponsor have a genuine professional or personal relationship. Therefore your application is refused under paragraph V4.3 (a) of Appendix V.

From the information on your application form and the documents you have submitted, I am not satisfied that you intend to leave the United Kingdom or that you are genuinely seeking

entry as a visitor. Your application is therefore refused under paragraphs 4.2 (a) and (c) of Appendix V of Immigration Rules for Visitors.
NEXT STEPS
NRA v 1.0

In relation to this decision, there is no right of appeal or right to administrative review

Very insightful.

The emboldened: Brits can SO drink and misbehave in public. grin

Similar to the drinking rate in the Niger-Delta region of Nigeria and Sierra Leone.

Gemma11:

The health system in the UK is based on preventative measures and promoting healthy lifestyles.

The system simply could not cope if all were to fall sick and need emergency care at the same time. The advice of healthy eating, (like if you buy any packaged product like biscuits, cereal, drink, snack the traffic light system will tell you how many calories, level of fat and salt etc and this is a legal requirement by the FSA.

The NHS offers free advice on anything from mental and physical well being. Cigarette packages carry heavy "Cancer can Kill' signs. It is all by design. The dangers of drinking alcohol are also well advertised even though the Brits like to drink like they are competing in the Olympics grin

Gyms and leisure facilities are also easily accessible for all in the UK with free facilities for children. Activities like Cycling and walking are also encouraged. There is even a health inurance company that reduces your gym membership fee more you attend the. I think it is called Vitality health.

These measures prevent the system from being clogged up by people making poor health choices which lead to sickness so that key services for the elderly, pregnant women and children and those unfortunate to develope illness through no fault of their own are or accident emergencies are not compromised.

For instance a grown man goes into A&E with a stomach ache, and there are 2 pregnant women who are ill, a sick child, elderly patient or someone who has just been involved in a serious accident waiting to be seen, the aforementioned man will probably not be seen a priority.

The GP (General Pratitioner) as the name entails is also not someone to see for an urgent health issue. They are good for repeat prescriptions, for referring to a specialist, basic examinations or health advice.

The NHS is not perfect but it works for most and encourages people to maintain healthy lifestyles so the system is not overrun.

Morning all.

My landlord is behaving like an igbo man though pakistani.
It's been 3wks since we moved into this 3bed rm @750pcm minus bills.
The landlord aquirred the property barely 1month before letting out. .
Initially he didn't want to deal directly with us so he handed the key to the property to one 9ja man who gave us the place and stood for us due to credit check ish.
During our 3wks of stay it's been from one fault finding to another. It was obvious that the Paki rented the house as soon as he bought it.
We always call the 9ja man to complain but at a point I felt I was giving the man stress and the moment I got the phone contact of the landlord it's been a case of direct calls to him.
One of the instances I called to report boiler issue he was acting reluctant not responding to calls.
My wife and I walked straight to his door (he lives 4 houses away from ours) and told him some friendly words in 9ja tone. I further mentioned to him that I work at the council and can report him to housing dept if he continues with these stunt.
Omo, paki has been up and doing since then o.
Bought new boiler and installed.
Due to the installation, the heater in the palour was disconnected coz it's old and cannot function with the settings of the new boiler. Plus the radiator in one of the rooms leaks water.
It's been 1wk since he installed the boiler.
By next week I will start fresh heat on him..

If you don't think you would want to renew your tenancy agreement, send the LL a letter before action.....

Don't call him, don't have a verbal conversation, but a proper old school letter........

He would act within 24 hours .......... wink

These days, in England at least, all the power is on the landlord's side, with the sheer number of human beings seeking accommodation these days. Yesterday, Home Office announced they have allowed in 1 m people in 2021 alone, students, Tier 2, refugees, all join. All of those competing for the not too large number of houses whose owners are OK with renting to Africans and Asians in the first place.

Anyone considering doing stronghead for their landlord should make sure they have a backup first. Otherwise, it's advisable to speak softly and make your points firmly but politely.

Apart from gumtree and Facebook market place, where can one find used home furniture/mattress to buy, especially in Sunderland?

How's work and family, everyone? smiley

Please what network is advised for a sim contract to boost credit rating?

An idea of the cost will also be helpful. EE sim-only contract rates are somewhat high.

I currently use Lebara, but I read somewhere that Lebara and a few other networks aren't apt for credit score building.

Thanks

Hello House, in Birmingham, is a student's dependent liable to pay council tax or will be exempted just like the student?
