I’m currently building a DOM based calculator.
And after adding the click event listener for updating the calculator display, whenever I clicked a number it would appear twice on the calculator screen. This shit nearly drove me crazy. And I’m the type that gives up easily whenever I hit a brick wall. Each day I would give it about 30 mins and that’s it, i go and rest.
Only for me to scroll to the bottom of the program and see another event function for the same element firing at the same time
This was the function I used for testing on the console and forgot to remove it
I’m so happy right now that I won’t even carry on, I might just abandon this dumb project or maybe continue tomorrow
I believe we’ve all been in this situation

I noticed something about eventliseners, whenever I add eventliseners to variables without adding dot(.), It'll still run e.g,
btnAdd,addEventListener('click', function (){});
The eventlisener eventually worked. Have you noticed this before?

It was actually an error. I didn't notice until I tried some exercises.
