All Gods are spirit beings, whatever any worshiper gives them is not to be taken back. The old woman is just stupid. Her actions tells how stupid she really is. She has spent her:

And all she could think of is the stipend she invested so far. What about her time and energy that other have wisely used to acquire so much wealth?
