This senior man took photos of the car from the importer's car stand and added 750k profit for himself.
He wants to make more money than the person that imported the vehicle.
Greed is a bastered.

It’s easy to hide behind keypad and be forming keypad warrior, why not hook up with one job proposal and maybe get busy with life.

ES330 which is more upscale and between 05 to 06 is 2.5m why should a 03 camry be more expensive though?

I have learnt not to criticise prices of cars. Simply because foreign used cars does not have uniform prices. A whole lots determines the prices of foreign Used cars. What Mr A bought for $1000, Mr B can buy it for $2000, it all depends on the value a seller placed on his car. I believe OP got the car expensive, reason his price is a bit high, but i assume the quoted price can still be negotiated. With the present Naira free fall, this car might cost much more than the quoted price in the near future.

Is it really more expensive? Can one presently import an 05/06 Lexus for N2.5 M (US $5OOO)? .... with N500/US$1?

The price of a car should be tied to the value of the Naira. If I buy a Lexus today for N2.5M and tomorrow the Naira plunges to 1000/1 the value of my car should then be N5M. Our bank account... the buying power of the amount gets less as the Naira devalues. A man with car money in the bank in 2008 ... that money couldn't buy a keke in 2015 and the same money can't buy a motorbike today. You bought an 04 Camry for N1M in 2013 .... should you sell it for N1.5M today ... you're selling at a loss because it's worth a lot more today due to the value of the Naira. Let's always consider the present value of the Naira when considering the price of a car.

You will not see all es330 at 2.5m your negotiating power and other factors would depend on price. If a 05 and 06 camry V6 is that price, its understandable

Check nairaland for ES330 and see. Camry XV30 was between 1.2m to 1.8m depending on year and engine b4 Buhari now its 2m to 2.5 depending on trim and year.

Factors To Be Considered Are As Follows;

1. Purchase Cost.
2. Shipping Cost.
3. Clearing Cost (Customs Rate And Bill Your Vehicle By The Current Exchange Rate {Not Bank Rate, But Black Market Rate}).
4. Other Miscellaneous Cost (Which Doesn’t Have To Concern The Buyer).

LASTLY, YOU OUGHT TO BE CONVERSANT WITH THE CURRENT FX RATE.

Moreover, it’s an asking price which is obviously reasonably negotiable.

The car in question is definitely reasonably negotiable.
