If you can get the LG Oled series, the screen technology is awesome. It is like a Samsung S21 Ultra but 66+ inches. Of course, you will have to be super mindful and not be careless with it. You can imagine the cost of replacing a cracked Samsung Screen, now imagine replacing the screen of such a TV.

One LG UHD 4k TV caught my fancy at their Marina show room close to Mandilas. But the Lebanese oyibo guy said the screen alone is costlier than the TV if it gets damaged and that warranty does not cover screens.

He said I could insure the screen with 3% of the TV cost. Note that the insurance lasts for 1 year but could be renewed.


I have SAMSUNG, LG and SONY in mind ( I cancelled SYINIX when I discovered it belongs to Transsion Holdings, the makers of Tecno, Infinix etc)

I was at a TV repair shop yesterday and noticed lots of TVs having board problem. I asked why and he said the major killer of TV boards is the frequent usage of flash on TV.
