Nwankwo Kanu. Simple as ABC - top, top player who featured for major teams in every league he played. Ajax, Inter Milan and Arsenal. Won trophies with these teams and was a core part of the first team.

John Mikel Obi was just a passenger in a trophy-winning Chelsea team who sacrificed his inborn creativity and guile on the ball for simple and safe (make e no spoil for my hand) football in the middle of the pitch. Based on how his career started and the talent he had, I'm disappointed that although Mikel won trophies during his career, he just did NOT turn out to be the technical entertaining player everyone who watched him during the U-20s World Cup thought he would be.

As for Okocha, I just think he was a very unserious player who made poor professional decisions throughout his career. At the peak of his career, Okocha could've had his pick of elite clubs, but he prefered to remain a local champion with Bolton. How many Champions League games did he play throughout his career? Very few, I believe. He was very entertaining, but it wasn't his fault - he played football at a time when football wasn't just about output (goals and assists)

Okocha is just a celebrity footballer without tangible football achievements. Kanu is the best of them all. Mikel is just a fortunate player. If we are to rate footballers critically, Okocha can not be in 10 in Nigeria.
