In a publication by Vanguard News on February 24, 2021, with the headline “Repair of Enugu-PH expressway to be completed July 2021 — Fashola”, the minister for Works and Housing, Babatunde Raji Fashola, has said that the rehabilitation of the Lokpanta to Enugu and the Aba to Rivers State boundaries on the Enugu –Port Harcourt expressway, would be completed, July, 2021.

The Minister who was represented by the Abia State Controller, Federal Ministry of Works, Mr Onuoha Bede, stated that the Aba to the Rivers State boundary is almost 40% completed and would be ready before the July completion deadline.

In his words; “At Lokpanta axis, the one to the Enugu boundary is 98% completed while the one on Port Harcourt boundary is almost 40% completed. Before July which is the deadline for completion, they would have made appreciable progress. The one at Aro-Ngwa is still lagging, we are held in a court suit and we are appealing if the Abia state government can intervene to get a resolution to that problem so that we can enjoy the benefits others are also enjoying. We seize this opportunity to appeal to the Abia State government to resolve the issue with the Aro-Ngwa trailer park so that construction work can begin.”

Two months after the deadline given for the completion of the road, the Enugu-Port Harcourt Expressway remains a death trap.

A Facebook user, Mr Francis Opaku, posted pictures of the current state of the road.
“Oh God for how long we will continue living in pain every day in Aba. Men are dieing every day by day. This is Enugu pH express way near NIGER STONE close to Ariaria junction we are living in pains in this Area. “, he wrote.

In the comment section of the post, some residents of Aba called on God to help them as they have lost hope in the government.

“We are really suffering in Aba, God please come for our rescue”, Amarachi Chinedum commented.

“God Intercede for us”, Mhiz Lucy wrote.

“Indeed abians are suffering… God please help us oo
Most of our mothers are crying due to they trek a long distance just to reach to their place of business. Beggars increase day by day. God please help us”, Anene Anselem wrote.
“Chaii God please help us ooo”
, Amakor Patricia typed.

“Kai God help us”, Favour Praise commented.

“God please help us”, Miracle Aguzie wrote.

Buhari will rather construct brand new roads from Kano to Niger or Chad than to construct or repair any road in the east. Over his dead body he has sworn to do any good thing in the east except sending terrorist Fulanis and their military wing to kill and maim the Igbos. Nothing last forever

This is the handiwork of the same terrorist Nigeria that is saying "Igbo are hurting their economy by sitting at home"

This is exactly why their propaganda start and end on their news because after reading their propaganda I will step out of my house/shop to see:
1. Messed up Onitsha-Enugu Expressway way that has been abandoned for the last 35 years.

2. The Eastern economic blockade where our ports have been shut down for the past 52 years.

3. Abandoned Aba-PortHarcourt and Enugu-PortHarcourt expressways

4. Construction of second Niger Bridge which is aimed at making evacuation of Ndigbo from Igboland to Lagos faster in a bid to make Ndigbo permanent economic refugees at Lagos (check where the bridge leads to), as opposed to dredging the Niger River which will immediately spring up atleast 5 mega industrial/ commercial cities in Anambra (Ọgbaru, Ọnicha, Nkwerre) and Delta (Asaba, Igbo ụzọ, Ọkpanam Etc) respectively

So my dear Terrorist Nigerians, you can't make us hate IPOB because the reality says otherwise. Seeing is believing

megacity:

This is exactly what is hurting Igbo economy.
It makes transfer of goods and services not just difficult but impossible.
And someone wants us to believe that the group fighting to change this and most importantly lift the economic blockade imposed on Alaigbo and Allies (Ibibio, Efik, Ekoi and Annang) for the past 52 years is hurting Igbo economy.

News spreads propaganda but the reality speaks otherwise.

All this with borrowed funds that we'll contribute to pay back without benefitting from the loans.

This country is cursed with bad leaders. OP this road na express where Ogun state roads dey. If you go to places like Abule Iroko, Joju, Sango, Akute, Magboru, Agbado, Ijoko you will know the meaning of death trap, cars can't ply 95% of the road in Ogun State. The past governors and the present governor are the direct descendant of the Devil. Funny enough when it's time for election they will share 1 cup of rice and 500 naira and the useless people will still re-elect Dapo Abiodun.

Something terrible happened last week I went with my friend to see his wife that just gave birth in Abule Itoko in Ogun State, a woman rushed to the hospital she was begging and crying we should please help her carry her husband to the hospital she said her husband is in the car and the car is trapped in the middle of the bad road. Some staff of the hospital went to the spot where the car was stuck and carried the man on the back to the hospital. When they got there the doctor declared the man dead. The doctor said if he had gotten to the hospital earlier the man had a chance of surviving. The man died because there was no good road leading to the hospital. I'm not typing fiction, this stuff happened last week in Abule Iroko, Ogun State. I pity people living in Ogun State, that state needs help cry
