Learning to do your laundry the right way is not difficult, I assure you. Often times we wonder why a fabric got spoiled easily, believing the designer did a bad job at picking the fabric, but little do we understand how to wash our fabrics correctly.
We have fabrics of different types, so many detergent in the market and the option of washing with hand or machine.
Do the following;
Read the labels. Place all cloths that are labelled” hand wash” separately if you are using a machine.
Sort by color. Whites, grey, ash, all light colors should go in one pile, deep color in another, heavily solid cloth in another pile, to avoid bleeding together.
Do not use hard water to wash your clothing. Hard water like rain water.
Pick a detergent. Use a soft detergent or bar soap. You can also try liquid soap, they are mostly not coaxed.
Do not wriggle. Be careful with some fabrics, some of them look elastic but they are not, some are wool. Avoid wriggling, it could alter the shape of the item, instead press the water out of the fabric by pushing it between hands.
Hanging your cloth in direct sunlight could damage it. Some fabrics needs only air dry.
Thanks for reading through. Hope the tips were helpful?
