The challenge facing mica miners, dealers, and exporters is how to get bulk purchase buyers due to the lack of markets where buyers and sellers of minerals can meet in the Country. Miners of mica and other solid minerals rely on personal contacts to sell their products thereby exposing them to exploitation by greedy middlemen. The Federal Government, through the Federal Ministry of Mines & Steel Development, is encouraged to create markets where solid minerals can be traded in Nigeria to enhance their values.
