A secondary school student named Oghenemaro Eriana has been stabbed to death by a bouncer at a wedding reception in Mofor, Udu council area of Delta State.

The incident occurred on the 25th of September at the popular Wetland Hotel in the area.

Siggy learnt the victim was trying to pick up money sprayed on the couple during the ceremony, when the bouncer, Francis Utuedor, stabbed him in the process.

It was gathered that the victim lived along Kolokolo Street in Udu Road and went to the party with his mother.

Findings revealed that the mother of the teenage boy was already bereaved following the loss of her older son two months ago.

The groom is said to be a neighbour of the family of the deceased.

The Delta State Police Command confirmed the development, noting that the suspect has been arrested.

When contacted, its spokesman, DSP Bright Edafe, said: “It happened at Wetland Hotel. The suspect is in our custody”.

Sigh... That "Bouncer" clearly had an earlier beef with the kid. Na today people begin pick money for reception??! Even governors' aides don't even act so barbaric when citizens come close.

Now the bouncer can easily beat him but he choose to stab him. What is he doing with a knife at the first place.

There's enough blames to go round but my concern is the celebrants who wanted to enjoy their day only for it to be ruined forever by this ugly incident. How about the bereaved mother who's mourning death of two kids in space of two months?

There's nothing strange that the boy has done to warrant taking his life except you want to say you've also never been involve in any juvenile act or some sort of exuberance. Imagine your life was taken for such act. He took the boy's life for nothing.

Let's be really frank while it's not worthy for the bouncer to stab him, money sprayed at parties are for the celebrants. People shouldn't let what happened at the Obi Cubana burial get into their head. Money sprayed aren't for just anybody's taking, it's even stealing. This boy dying doesn't worth it though.
