Masked Oyo Indigenes Give Fulani, Hausa, Their Cattle 30-Day Ultimatum To Leave Yorubaland

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TJywHm3fpJA

Some masked men from Oyo State have issued a 30-day ultimatum to Fulani and Hausa people to leave all parts of Yorubaland.

They also said the herders among them should leave along with their cattle.

The 30 days started counting from Saturday, September 25, 2021.

This was contained in a video obtained by SaharaReporters on Saturday. Some of the men were clad in Yoruba Nation vests.

Their leader, who identified himself as Sunday Oyo, urged President Muhammadu Buhari to advise “his people” to leave Yorubaland within a month or face the consequences of disobedience, which they said might be gruesome.

The young man noted that though the Nigerian government was able to ensure the arrest of Yoruba Nation agitator, Sunday Adeyemo, aka Sunday Igboho, he, Sunday Oyo is different.

Igboho was arrested in Benin Republic in July while he and his wife were trying to travel to Germany. He has since been detained in the country.

However, Oyo said: “We are using this opportunity to warn President Muhammadu Buhari that he should immediately evacuate all Fulanis and Hausas from Yorubaland.

“We don't want to have a relationship with you, let everyone go their separate ways. The torture is too much, let's have our nation, and you have your nation, and be careful or else...

“We give you 30 days to leave Yorubaland generally. You have arrested Sunday Igboho, I am Sunday Oyo, we will deal with you. After 30 days, whatever your experience is, you should accept it as your fate.”

SaharaReporters had reported a similar threat made by Igboho in the past.

On January 22, Igboho visited Igangan, a town in the Ibarapa North Local Government Area of Oyo State, insisting that Fulani people must leave Yorubaland.

He accused the Fulani community in the area of masterminding abductions, killings, and other criminal activities in the area.

"Fulani cannot take over our land from us. We own our land and we won't allow anybody to take it from us. Some people are intimidating us but we won't succumb to their threat. For the Fulani living here, we are not fighting them, if they can live with us peacefully. Our fear is about Fulani taking over our land, kidnapping, and killing our people.

"We will evict them from our land if they insist on kidnapping our people. I am assuring Yoruba people, especially the residents of Oyo State that there is no cause for alarm. What we started today does not only have to do with Oyo State; we are going to evict Fulani people in the entire Yoruba land," he had said.

Since his emergence as one of the masterminds of self-determination for the Oodua/Yoruba Nation, Igboho had faced several travails.

For instance, on July 1, 2021, his Soka residence in Ibadan was invaded by operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS), also known as the State Security Service (SSS) or secret police.

He was on July 20 arrested in Cotonou while trying to travel to Germany.

The Yoruba Nation agitator fled Nigeria after he was declared wanted by the DSS following the alleged discovery of weapons in his Ibadan residence.

He, however, denied owning the weapons found in his house, stressing that they were planted there by the security agency.

Keep the president we don't want it. I mean why will we want to be a President over terrorists and cows. We can be a president in our new country speak our own language effectively and understand each other. There is nothing special about being a Nigerian not to talk about being a Nigerian President. Only a narrow minded people want to be a Nigerian President get that fool.

Another addition to the Dubai strategy to deny the SW of winning the 2023 election. Cause the Northerners to dislike the SW and not vote for their candidate. Lol

I support them. They should protect their lands and families if they can, cos most southern leaders are sellouts and the govt is not protecting anyone that's not Fulani.

We will not use our people or sacrifice our people for anyone to become President whoever wants to do that surely is not a leader. If you want to be a leader stand for your people first just like the Northern people do we are not fools here. Let me warn you the North doesn't have the intention of giving up that position don't fool yourselves.

They are masked because they are criminals.

They know what they are doing is wrong, imagine asking people to leave their homes where they have been for ages, generations in fact.

These Fulani are indigenous to these places and the government needs to intervene and grant special status to these communities. Many of these communities have been there for over 100 years.

Only a criminal, a masked one at that, will try to steal one's land in broad day. But we are waiting to see what they will attempt. Any criminal acts done by these masked groups will be massively resisted. Criminality has no place in this country.

There are no indigenous Fulanis in Yorubaland!!! angry

Also, the bulk of Yorubas in the north are Oyo indigenes. And they know it. So it's a stupid move by people who want to deliberately cause crisis.

This is the same region that wants Northern votes come 2023. Imagine...

These types of groups are the reason Northerners see no particular reason to support their son over a qualified Northerner.

First it was Amotekun, then banning open grazing, then rounding up innocent Fulani carrying weapons to defend themselves against cattle rustling that this region is fast becoming known for, to Sunday the weapons dealer attacking indigenous southern Fulani.

We are waiting and watching, 2023 is not far.

Monolithic north is dead!

Fulanis are at war with everybody including your north!!

Osinbajo will definitely have a good outing in the north. smiley

Let them open their mask so that we can see their flat head, Imagine making video in a forest in Imo and calling it Oyo.

If Oyo want to chase out non indigenes, they must start with drug dealers and baby factory people. Fake drugs and arm robbery kill more people in the west than herdsmen.

This madness needs to stop. How can they tell the difference between indigenous southern based Fulani and the Fulani who are from the North?

Many of these communities have been there in those areas for generations and as such they have a right and a claim to their homeland.

This attitude of "state of origin" and the like is just used to perpetuate systematic tribalism.

These people are in their communities minding their business, any attempt to attack or harass these communities will lead to reprisals.

Be wise and don't grab a tiger by the tail. No one has a monopoly of violence. We need peace to reign, each community knows their side and should move with respect.

Imagine statements from these cows. So, those Igbos and southerners that you constantly massacre in the North are foreigners? It’s most unfortunate to share a space with animals like you people.

This simply isn't true. It is a myth that Fulani are only indigenous to the North, if you would have said Hausa, then I would agree. People often mix up Hausa and the Fulani, but both groups are very different despite having similar culture.

Fulani are spread across many regions and are as indigenous to those places just like the other groups they share the state with, it is rare to have a state where there is only one indigenous tribe. Although I will agree with you that Yoruba is the majority tribe in the SW, we have to note that there are significant numbers of Ijaw, Nupe, Fulani, and other groups that are also indigenes to that region.

Below is a map of indigenous Fulani settlements. As you can see, Oyo and Ogun have Fulani indigenes.

Any attempt to dislodge these communities will create problems that you are not ready for. Do not push the goat to the wall, allow for peace, allow for unity.

Even in the North, fulanis are not indigenes, don't kid yourselves.

People only say that sometimes because, the hausas allowed you people in and didn't fight back when you people were taking over. They accepted the oppression from their oppressors in the name of religion. So they bear d pain of sharing the north with fulanis.

But to come here and say that fulanis are indigenous to any part of the South at all, shows that you are all high on something.

Ur stvpid goat talk there holds no water. If there's any tribe pushing others to the wall, it's the foolanis. If you people want w@r, it is w@r you will get.

Fulani are never indigenous to any part of Nigeria. They are migrants whose forefathers wage a jihad against the indigenous hausa people who welcomed, sheltered and fed them but only to rise up against their hausa hosts , killed their kings and installed fulani emirs in hausa kingdoms. Fulanis are desert migrants from futajalon. You are strangers in Nigeria.
